The Theme of "Charles"
After reading this story with such an unexpected ending, I think that the theme of "Charles" is mainly about creativity. Why do I think that the theme is about creativity? Well, because... throughout the story, Laurie had been very creative when he made up a character (also known as Charlie), and also had been creative when he lied about how Charlie had to stay after school and that everyone else stayed with him. In the story, if Laurie had no creativity at all, his mother would have already found out that he was lying a while ago, the creative lies helped him from letting his mom discover the truth about Charlie/Laurie... A few other examples of Laurie being creative was when he lied to his mom saying how bad Charlie was every single day, and he made it so sarcastic and dramatic that her mom believed him the whole time Laurie was simple just lying...

My Ideal Teacher
In my opinion, my ideal teacher is one
who is strict on us with homework and learning, but also is one who is always
open to students with jokes and humor. My ideal teacher is one that punishes us
when students do something wrong, but not by punishing students unreasonably like
some unqualified teachers do... I also think that a teacher should be patient
with students that don't understand things right away like some other students
might... Also, my ideal teacher is one that cares about students and helps
students with problems that they have. However, I don’t want a teacher to be
extremely kind, caring, and soft-hearted, for example, one that gives us all
the sugar he/she can possibly find, one that gives us absolutely no homework
and lets us play or watch movies all day, one that tells us “don’t come to
school if you can’t get up in the morning.”, or one that praise the students and
please them like god. So… This is basically what my ideal teacher is like…

Bluffy - My blue fluffy bed
While we were on my dad’s car leaving the store, I felt really happy that I had my own bed, but dad started teasing me and told me to try saying “blue fluffy” really fast, so I tried… But the words that came out of my mouth fast sounded like “bluffy”… I tried and tried, but they just kept laughing because I didn’t get it right… Anyways, that’s how I came up with a name for my bed, Bluffy…

User Friendly
If someone I've just met told me that his/her best friend is a computer, I'll probably think that he/she is a good engineer and has made some kind of program that can answer a few yes or no questions. I would imagine his/her character traits as very smart and intelligent. I would also think that he's a lonely person since he would think that a computer's reply with a few yes or no's is kind and friendly, and thinks that the computer is his/her friend. By looking at what he/she said to me, I can also infer that he doesn't care about what others think about him/her, which means that he doesn't care when people laugh at him/her about what he/she says.
Although his/her words "My best friend is a computer" probably means that he/she has a living computer, it can also imply that he/she uses his/her computer a lot, loves his/her computer, can't live without his/her computer, or it could simply just mean that he/she likes his/her computer and treats the computer like his/her best friend...
